This Pre-1940's recipe included in my “Grandma’s Wartime Edition Cookbook” Ingredients:
3 cups flour |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups milk (you can use up to 2 cups) |
2 tablespoons fat, melted |
Directions:
1. Combine all dry ingredients and sift. 2. Beat eggs, milk and melted fat together. 3. Add dry ingredients and beat throughly. 4. Place batter in a pitcher. 5. Pour on a hot greased griddle. |
