A tender and succulent chicken delight made in the crock pot. This chicken is juicy, gently seasoned, and simple to prepare. I dreamed the recipe up in my head, and first tried it with chicken legs in the oven. I amazed myself, and decided to adapt it for the crock pot. Ingredients:
1 whole chicken |
fresh basil leaf |
4 teaspoons tbsps honey |
4 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
4 teaspoons plain yogurt |
salt and pepper (or your favorite dry chicken seasoning mix) |
Directions:
1. Wash chicken, leave whole, and set in crock pot 2. Mix the honey, yogurt, and Worcester sauce together in a bowl. 3. Pour and rub the mix all over the chicken including the back and cavity. 4. Sprinkle the salt and pepper (or your favorite seasonings) on the chicken. Put some seasoning in the cavity too. 5. Wash and tear the fresh basil, and stuff some in the cavity. Place some on top of the chicken, as well as between wings and legs. 6. Place in crock pot, and cook for 9 hours. |
