This was my mom's recipe and I always loved it! I like it because it has a hint of sweetness to it. Ingredients:
2 cups yellow cornmeal |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
8 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs |
2 cups milk |
1/2 cup cooking oil |
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. 2. Mix together egg, milk, and cooking oil in a small bowl. 3. Slowly stir the liquid mixture in with the dry ingredients until fairly smooth. 4. Pour into greased 9x12 pan. 5. Bake in pre-heated 425 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. |
