This cornbread is my multi-purpose recipe. I use it for an appetizer, side dish and dessert. It's a family favorite. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
2 cup flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup melted butter
3 large eggs, seperated
1/2 cup honey
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
1. In Large Mixing bowl combine dry ingredients with whisk and put to the side. In another bowl combine egg yolks, milk, vanilla, melted butter, honey. Incorporate into dry mixture. In seperate bowl beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks, fold into wet mix. Pour into 13x9 greased baking pan. 350 for 45 minutes
