a sweet and healthy corn bread Ingredients:
3/4 cup cornmeal |
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup skim milk |
1 egg (beaten) |
2 tablespoons canola oil |
2 tablespoons margarine |
2 tablespoons honey |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400. 2. Combine dry ingredients. 3. Add milk, egg and oil. 4. Stir until well mixed. 5. Coat 9 inch square pan with non-stick cooking spray. 6. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean (approximately 20 minutes). 7. Combine margarine and honey. 8. Spread over top of hot cornbread. |
