This Sweet Corn Bread recipe is perfect with a nice hot bowl of chili beans. Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup cornmeal |
1/4 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup shortening |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients: Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder and Salt. 2. Add Milk, Eggs, and Shortening. Beat for 1 minute. 3. Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan and bake at 425 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. |
