This is my old stand-by. Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup yellow cornmeal |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
1 cup sour cream |
1/3 cup milk |
1/4 cup softened butter |
Directions:
1. In a bowl. combine the dry ingredients. 2. In another bowl, combine the egg, sour cream, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. 3. Pour into a greased 8 square baking pan. 4. Bake at 400F for 20-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve warm. |
