Sweet Corn For The Freezer |

A friend gave me this recipe, we couldn't believe it! The corn stays crisp, and tasts great! Will keep in a tightly sealed container for 6 months. Ingredients:
8 quarts fresh corn, cut from the cob,about 40 ears |
2 quarts hot water |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine |
4 teaspoons salt |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. 2. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Spread out in large shallow containers to cool. 4. Spoon into freezer containers, or bags. 5. Freeze. |
