This was given to me by my mother-in-law. You can use splenda and wheat flour also. Ingredients:
3 cups self-rising flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 12 oz bottle beer |
1/4 cup melted butter |
Directions:
1. Stir together first 3 ingredients: pour into a lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan 2. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Pour melted butter over the top and bake 10 minutes more. 3. Cheddar-Chive Beer Bread: Add 3/4 cup grated cheese and 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives to mix. |
