A great summertime treat! Ingredients:
4 -6 medium granny smith apples |
2 cups water |
1/2-1 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1/2 tablespoon vinegar |
1/3 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Peel, core and slice the apples into bite size pieces. 2. Mix ingredients into 2 qt saucepan and heat over medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or untlil tender. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Store in refrigerator; best served warm with icecream/CoolWhip. |
