A perfect simple sauce to glaze on roast or grilled chicken, pork beef, lamb or even salmon. It is a simple 2 minute sauce. My favorites happen to be pork tenderloin, chicken breasts and thighs. It is sweet and spicy all in one. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups apple jelly |
3/4 cup red currant jelly |
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish (more or less to taste) |
1 small shallot, minced very fine |
2 teaspoons fresh thyme |
1 pinch red pepper flakes |
1 pinch salt |
1 pinch pepper |
Directions:
1. Sauce - Mix everything (except the thyme) together in a small measuring cup or bowl and microwave for 1 minute on medium heat. Heating it will thin the jelly and make it easy to brush on. Add the thyme after it is heated and it is ready to use. 2. Brush over your favorite meat, poultry, lamb, pork, seafood and even vegetables as they grill or roast in the oven. |
