I got this from a low carb cookbook but I changed a little bit of the amounts and how I serve it. Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken thighs (i take the skin off) |
1 (1 ounce) envelope onion soup mix |
1/4 cup water |
3/4 cup chili sauce |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. put a little coooking oil in bottom of a crock pot. 2. place chicken thighs in crock pot. 3. in a small bowl mix soup mix, chili sauce, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and water. 4. pour mixture over chicken. 5. cook on low for 7 hours. 6. I take the chicken off the bone, shred it and serve it over brown rice. I also pour some of the liquid over the chicken and rice to make it like a teriyaki bowl. |
