This is my own variation on a recipe I found in a magazine. It was inspired by the spicy and savory flavors of New Mexican cuisine, utilizing the all-important green chile pepper. It keeps about 2 weeks in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Ingredients:
2 cups ketchup |
1 cup dark brown sugar |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons chicken stock |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1 teaspoon green chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon dill weed |
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together and allow 1-2 hours to chill. Spread over ribs or chicken and enjoy! |
