Ingredients:
1/2 cup(s) brown sugar |
1-2 tablespoon(s) chili garlic sauce |
1 teaspoon(s) chinese five spice |
1 tablespoon(s) grated fresh ginger |
kosher salt/pepper |
1 cup(s) long grain rice |
1/2 cup(s) low sodium soy |
1 medium bok choy |
2 1/2 pound(s) pork shoulder trimmed |
2 scallions |
Directions:
1. In slow cooker combine soy, sugar chili garlic sauce, ginger, five spice, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Add the pork and toss to coat. Cook, covered until the pork is tender, on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 7-8 hours 2. Minutes before sering cook rice. 3. Meanwhile, skim off and discard any fat from pork. gently fold bok choy into the por and cook covered until heated through, 2-4 minutes. Serve with rice and sprinkle with scallions. |
