This recipe goes with Almond-Citrus Salad Ingredients:
1 cup sliced almonds or pecan pieces |
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted |
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar |
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/4 teaspoon chili powder |
1/8 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper |
pinch of salt |
Directions:
1. Stir together almonds and butter in a small bowl. Combine sugar and next 4 ingredients; sprinkle over almonds, tossing to coat. Spread on a lightly greased baking sheet. 2. Bake at 325° for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool. Store in an airtight container. |
