Sweet And Sour Vegetables |

This recipe comes from the Hilton Estate that I purchased in Gainesville, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons vegetable oil |
2 white onions chopped |
2 carrots thinly sliced |
2 stalks celery sliced |
1 green pepper chopped |
4 teaspoons vinegar |
2 teaspoons soy sauce |
1 teaspoon brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Sauté onions in oil until transparent then add carrots, celery and green pepper. 2. Sauté 5 minutes over low heat then cover and cook 10 minutes longer. 3. Add vinegar, soy sauce and brown sugar then mix well and season with salt and pepper. |
