The meat cook up nice and tender, in a delicious sauce. Ingredients:
1/4 cup flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 1/2 lbs stew meat, cut in 1 inch pieces |
2 tablespoons oil |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup catsup |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 cup chopped onion |
6 medium carrots, sliced |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt and pepper in bag; add meat pieces and shake to coat. 2. In lg skillet, brown meat in hot oil. 3. Drain. 4. Mix water, catsup, brown sugar, vinegar and worcestershire sauce. 5. Stir into the meat. 6. Add the onion. 7. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. 8. Add carrots and simmer for another 30 minutes. |
