Ingredients:
1 (4-pound) eye of round roast |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
2 medium onions, thinly sliced |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup honey |
1/3 cup lemon juice |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Brown roast on all sides in hot oil in a large Dutch oven. Add thinly sliced onion and remaining ingredients. 2. Bake, covered, at 300° for 3 hours or until tender. |
