Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs. You can substitute other pork cuts. Ingredients:
2 1/4 lbs pork side ribs |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/3 cup water |
1/4 cup cornstarch |
Directions:
1. Place pork in 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. 2. Mix Brown sugar and first amount of water in bowl. 3. Add vinegar and soy sauce. Stir. 4. Pour over pork. Cover. 5. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours. 6. Tilt Slow cooker and skim off any fat. 7. Stir second amount of water and cornstarch together in bowl. Add to slow cooker. 8. Cook on High for 15-20 minutes to thicken or pour into large saucepan to thicken on burner. |
