I often try to make a non mayo coleslaw when other bbq salads recipes are mayo based. This is very refreshing and a tasty change Ingredients:
one head of cabbge shredded |
2 carrots shredded or grated |
white vinegar |
sugar ( or splenda ) |
olive oil |
orange juice concentrate |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. shred cabbage and carrot into a bowl 2. In a small bowl make your oil and vinegar dressing , sweet and sour as you prefer, mixing in some frozen o.j concentrate to taste 3. Add enough dressing to the cabbage and carrot mixture to moisten well but not make soggy. 4. salt and pepper to taste 5. cover and chill well. |
