1 lb (500g) lean ground beef |
1 cup (250 ml) soft, fresh bread crumbs |
1 egg - beaten |
2 tblspns (30ml) milk |
2 tblspns ( 30ml) onion - minced |
1 clove garlic - minced |
1 tsp (5ml) salt |
1/2 tsp ( 2ml) pepper |
2/3 cup (150ml) heinz chili sauce |
2/3 cup (150ml) red currant jelly |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) 2. Gently blend, beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt & pepper until combined 3. Form into about 40 bite-sized meatballs 4. Place meatballs on a foil lined, rimmed baking sheet 5. Bake for about 20 mins, until cooked through 6. Combine chili sauce & jelly in a saucepan & set over medium heat 7. Cook, stirring, until the jelly dissolves, about 5 mins 8. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce 9. Reduce heat to medium/low & simmer for 10 mins 10. Serve & watch them disappear. |
