Easy to prepare. The kids love them, too. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef |
3/4 cup fine dry breadcrumb |
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1 tablespoon oil |
1 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
1/2 cup water |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/4 cup ketchup |
Directions:
1. Meatballs: Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. 2. Mix well. 3. Form into 32 meatballs. 4. Heat oil in a large skillet. 5. Add meatballs. 6. Turn to brown on all sides. 7. Cover and cook until done, stirring occasionally. 8. Remove meatballs and drain fat from skillet. 9. Sauce: Stir together sugar and cornstarch. 10. Add vinegar, water, soy sauce, and ketchup. 11. Add to skillet. 12. Cook and stir until clear and thickened. 13. Add meatballs. 14. Heat through. |
