I obtained this recipe from a neighbor who is a fantastic cook. It's a great recipe to cook on a busy night. Enjoy Ingredients:

this recipe came from an estate sale. i obtained it when i purchased the family collection from the holland estate in portland, oregon in 1987. |
1/2 cup cornstarch |
2 eggs |
3 cup up chicken breasts |
sauce |
1/4 cup water |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
3 tablespoons catsup |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon garlic |
Directions:
1. Put cornstarch in a bowl. 2. Beat eggs in a separate bowl. 3. Dip chicken first in the starch and then in the egg. 4. Put in sprayed skillet and brown both sides. 5. Put browned chicken in a pan and cover with sauce then bake at 350 for 35 minutes. 6. To make sauce combine all ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened. |
