Sweet and Sour Cabbage Soup |

This is Really Good...though the recipe that i used was found in a church cook book i had, this one is pretty close...i lost the cook book :( One variation uses an envelope of onion soup instead of an actual onion....haven't tried it though....Enjoy...this is my favorite cabbage soup Ingredients:
1 1/2-2 lbs beef stew meat, browned |
2 tablespoons oil |
1 medium cabbage, shredded |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans water |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 tablespoon white sugar |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Season Meat To Taste. 2. Brown meat in pot in oil. 3. Add other ingredients 4. Bring to a boil then simmer for 1 hour. |
