SWEET AND SOUR ARTICHOKE HEARTS This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Clinton Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1988. Ingredients:
20 ounces frozen artichoke hearts |
1/3 cup apple juice |
juice of 1 lemon |
2 tablespoons honey |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley |
Directions:
1. In saucepan over medium heat combine artichoke hearts and apple juice then bring to simmer. 2. Stir in lemon juice and honey then add salt and summer uncovered until liquid reduces slightly. 3. Transfer to serving plate and sprinkle with parsley. |
