This was inspired by my love for Popeye's Chicken - I would smother them in honey and hot sauce. So stinkin good! Ingredients:
3-4# chicken wings |
1 cup of your favorite hot sauce |
1/2 stick of real butter |
1/2 cup honey |
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (more if you can handle it) |
lawry's season salt |
fresh cracked black pepper |
Directions:
1. These can be cooked in the oven or fired - of course I fry mine. 2. Clean and wash chicken 3. Pat dry 4. Season with season salt and pepper 5. Cook chicken until done 6. While cooking chicken combine hot suace, butter, honey, and cayenne pepper in a medium sauce pot 7. Simmer for 10 -15 minutes 8. Remove from heat 9. Combine chicken and sauce until chicken is evenly coated 10. Enjoy! 11. I serve mine with T. Marzetti's Ultimate Blue Cheese Dressing mixed with celery seed - stinkin yumtastical!!!! |
