Similar to scones, an easy skillet coffee cake Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 c. sugar |
1 c. flour |
1 t. almond flavoring |
3/4 t. vanilla extract |
1/2 c. butter |
additional flour |
cinnamon |
slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Place eggs in a mixing bowl and beat. 2. Add sugar, flour and flavorings and beat well after each addition. 3. Melt butter in a 8-in iron skillet. 4. Add melted butter from skillet to batter and mix well. 5. Sprinkle some additional flour in the same iron skillet and pour the batter into it. 6. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and cinnamon. 7. Bake at 350 degrees F, for approximately 30 minutes. 8. Cut into pie wedges and enjoy! |
