This recipe was given to me by my grandfather. They have the consistency of a crepe. Fill them with your favorite filling or enjoy with maple syrup and butter. Ingredients:
4 eggs |
4 tablesppons sugar |
4 tablespoons melted butter |
2 cups milk |
1 cup flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
pinch of salt |
beat eggs and cream in bowl. sift in flour until smooth. add milk gradually and stir in melted butter, salt and sugar. |
have round cast iron griddle or crepe pan hot. oil lightly and pour ⅓ cup batter on and swish around. turn when lightly browned. spread each pancake with butter, syrup, jelly, jam, sugar, etc. roll up and enjoy |
