This recipe is a nice alternative from meatballs in marinara that most folks are used to. I like to serve them with brown gravy over wide egg noodles! YUM! Ingredients:
3/4 lb ground beef |
3/4 lb ground veal |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs |
1 cup milk |
3/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup grated onion |
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Place all the ingredients in a medium mixiing bowl and mix to combine. The mixture should be moist but able to rol into a meatball. 3. Roll meatballs into a 1 inch uniform size. 4. Place even on a shallow baking dish. 5. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. 6. Finish under the broiler for 5 minutes or until desired crust is reached. |
