This is a great cake recipe that I made for a family reunion. Everyone loved it. I was told I needed to bring more than one cake next time to the picnic. Ingredients:
1 chocolate cake |
1/2 jar of mrs. richardsons caramel butterscotch ice cream topping |
mix 1 1/2 cups milk |
1 small pkg. of chocolate instant pudding |
1 carton of french vanilla cool whip . |
1/2 pkg. of heath chips |
Directions:
1. 1 chocolate cake: Mix according to box directions and bake. 2. Let set 15 min. 3. poke holes in the cake with a wooden spoon handle-approximately every couple of inches. 4. Pour 1/2 jar of Mrs. Richardsons Caramel Butterscotch Ice cream topping into the holes 5. Let set in refrigerator. until cold. 6. Mix 1 1/2 cups milk with 1 small pkg. of chocolate instant pudding-let set for 10 min. before spreading on cake after the caramel layer. Refrigerate until set. 7. Spread 1 carton of French vanilla Cool Whip on top of pudding layer. 8. Sprinkle 1/2 pkg. of heath chips on top of Cool whip layer. Keep Refrigerated. 9. ****I try to pour topping into the holes of the cake. |
