A delicious spread that's always a hit at parties and family gatherings. Ingredients:
2 8oz packages of cream cheese, softened |
8oz blue cheese |
2-1/4 c sour cream, divided (1 c and 1-1/4 c) |
3 eggs |
ground black pepper, to taste |
1/2 c chopped walnuts, toasted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and blue cheese until fluffy. Add one cup of sour cream and blend. Add eggs and beat on low until just combined. Sitr in pepper. Pour into a 9 greased springform pan. 3. Bate for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set (it may crack). Let stand on a wire rack for 5 min. Spread remaining sour cream and bake 5 minutes longer. 4. Cool for 10 minutes, and run a knife around the edge to loosen, cool for an hour. Refrigerate overnight. 5. Remove side of the pan, and sprinkle walnuts on the top. Serve with crackers, grapes, etc. |
