These are cinnamon-peanut butter cookies with a chocolate surprise inside. If you make the dough air-tight around the chocolate stars the chocolate will stay semi-solid even after the cookies cool. A former 4H-club award winner! Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup peanut butter |
1/4 cup butter, softened |
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed |
2 eggs |
1 (16 ounce) package chocolate stars |
Directions:
1. Combine peanut butter and brown sugar in a large bowl.
2. Add butter and cream until fluffy.
3. Add eggs and beat well.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well.
5. Cover dough and chill at least 30 minutes.
6. Wrap dough around chocolate stars, forming small balls.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes.
