this was the cover photo for delicious. an Australian magazine......have not tried it but will post to save for summer here in the states! Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
12 prawns, peeled, deviened |
3/4-1 lb sirloin, cut into cubes |
1/2 cup unsalted butter |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley |
1/2 lemon, zest of, finely grated |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Soak 4 bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes. 2. Combine 1rst 5 ingredients - marinate prawns and beef cubes in sauce - add salt and pepper to taste. 3. Preheat bbq to medium high. 4. Thread 4 pieces steak and 3 prawns alternately onto skewers. 5. BBQ 5-10 minutes till steak is done and prawns are just cooked. 6. Place butter and garlic into pan - saute 2-3 minutes. add parsley, lemon juice, and zest. simmer 1-2 minutes. 7. Serve with kebabs! |
