Supper Easy Turkey Stroganoff |

This is so easy and inexpensive to make its crazy! My best friend showed me this recipe years ago when we were poor college kids, and it's stayed a favorite. Great for feeding large groups very fast! Leftovers are awesome for lunch the next day also:) Ingredients:
1 medium onion, diced |
1 lb lean ground turkey |
1 dash worcestershire sauce |
1 pinch cayenne pepper |
1 tablespoon ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon roasted garlic (optional) |
10 fluid ounces condensed mushroom soup |
250 ml sour cream |
1/4 cup milk |
salt |
3 tablespoons oil |
1 (400 g) package rotini pasta or 1 (400 g) package farfarelle pasta |
Directions:
1. In a large pot boil 4 litres of water and salt for the pasta. Cook until desired tenderness is reached, drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet heat oil on medium and add onion. Cook onion until it starts to sweat (approx 2-3 minutes). Add in ground turkey, Worcestershire, pepper, cayenne and garlic-cook till brown. 3. Add can of mushroom soup to skillet and stir. Pour 1/4 cup milk into the soup can to get the excess from the sides- stir into skillet. Slowly add in the sour cream, stirring the whole time. 4. Turn sauce down to low and let simmer 3-5 minutes, until thick. 5. Stir in pot of pasta, serve, sit back and enjoy! |
