Plenty of sausage makes the fondue dip satisfying, and chopped green chiles adds a little pizzaz. You may use any flavor sausage or turkey sausage to your liking. Ingredients:
1lb. bulk pork sausage |
1 small onion, chopped |
1/2c. chopped green pepper |
3 medium tomatoes, chopped |
1-4oz. can chopped green chilies |
1-8oz. pk. cream cheese, cubed |
16oz. sour cream |
tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion and green pepper over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. 2. Add the tomatoes and green chilies; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Add the cream cheese; stir until melted. Stir in sour cream. 4. Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm. 5. Serve with tortilla chips. |
