Fresh ingredients make the difference when preparing tuna steaks. Youâ??ll be hooked on this winner. Ingredients:
2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped (about 2 cups) |
1/4 cup shredded fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried basil |
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
20 ounce tuna steaks |
8 black olives (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, basil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Set aside. 2. Heat a charcoal grill until coals form white ash, or preheat a gas grill to medium. Place tuna on grill rack. Grill 4 inches from heat, turning once, about 6-8 minutes, until fish just turns opaque but is still slightly pink in the center. 3. Place tuna on serving plates. Spoon tomato mixture evenly over tuna. Divide olives among plates. Serve immediately. |
