This bread recipe is one of the only bread recipes that will yield a thoroughally cooked, moist, raised loaf of banana bread. I LOVE IT!!! Ingredients:
4 bananas |
1 tbs. baking soda |
4 eggs |
4 cups flour |
1/2 cup almonds |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 cup 1% milk |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
3 tsp. cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Combine bananas, sugar, soda, and salt and blend in mixer at medium speed for one minute. 2. add eggs, one at a time, then mix flour, oil and milk. Beat 2 minutes then fold in nuts. 3. Pour batter into greased, floured loaf pans and sprinkle the top with cinnamon and/or brown sugar. 4. Bake on center rack for 2.5 hours at 275 degrees. |
