Super Easy Beef and Pasta Bake |

This is one of those simple comfit foods that is great for the family to dig into after a hard day Ingredients:
500 g minced beef |
1 tablespoon oil |
1 onion, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
1 carrot, grated |
1 (400 g) can chunky tomato pasta sauce |
1 cup beef stock |
1/4 cup tomato sauce or 1/4 cup barbecue sauce |
1 teaspoon oregano |
175 g spiral shaped pasta, cooked until just tender |
1/2 cup cheese, grated |
1/4 coarse unseasoned bread crumbs |
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder or 1/2 teaspoon curry powder |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. 2. Brown mince in a large pan, remove and drain juices. 3. Add oil to pan and cook onion, garlic, & carrot until just tender (8min). 4. Return mince to the pan along with pasta sauce, beef stock, oregano and pasta, simmer covered for around 10min or till mixture thickens. 5. Transfer to an oven proof dish, sprinkle cheese, bread crumbs and mustard powder over top. 6. Bake for 15min or till brown on top. |
