A very simple addition to old-fashioned brownies that is taking over the country one kitchen at a time. Thought brownies had peaked in flavor? Think again. Ingredients:
brownie mix (hershey's is best) |
two king-sized candy bars (i prefer symphony w/ caramel and heath) |
Directions:
1. Mix together your favorite brownie mix (again, I will plug Hershey's - it's so easy and simply the best) 2. Pour half of the brownie mix into the cooking pan of appropriate size (be sure to avoid pouring too much in) 3. Lay down your favorite candy bar(s) over the brownie mix 4. Pour other half of brownie mix on top 5. Cook brownie mix for appropriate time (same as on box or original recipe) 6. Note: When using the toothpick method of checking whether the brownies are done, do not go all the way in as the now melted candy bar will affect results 7. Let the cooked brownies sit for 5 minutes before cutting them 8. For best results, allow the candy bar in the middle to cool off completely. This may take some time, but it is well worth it. However, if you prefer melted chocolate in your brownies, I'm not stopping you - eat it right away. 9. Enjoy your Super-Brownies with family and friends |
