This is a really tasty chili, if you dont like chili with a kick, halve the spices. This is my DH's favourite comfort food. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 onions, chopped |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce |
3 tablespoons tomato paste |
1 (14 ounce) can rotel tomatoes & chilies |
2 teaspoons cumin |
2 teaspoons coriander |
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper |
2 teaspoons paprika |
4 teaspoons chili powder |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 (14 ounce) can kidney beans |
1 (14 ounce) can pinto beans |
Directions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and cook the onion and garlic until soft. 2. Add the ground beef and saute until brown. 3. Add all the spices and cook for a couple of minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients. 4. Simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 hours. |
