Score a touchdown with this dip! I made this up while fumbing for ingredients to throw together for a football get-together and everyone LOVED it! It doesn't get any easier than this and can be served hot or cold! Ingredients:
6 ounces salsa |
8 ounces salsa con queso (i use tostitos salsa con queso dip) |
4 ounces sour cream (i use light and it still tastes great!) |
8 ounces low fat cottage cheese, 2% milkfat (lowfat) |
4 -6 ounces shredded monterey jack cheese or 4 -6 ounces cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Dump all ingredients in a large microwavable bowl and stir until blended. Microwave 3-4 minutes or until hot, checking every 30-60 seconds that it isn't scorching and stir. Cottage cheese should maintain curd-like as this texture is what makes it good! 2. Can be served warm or cold with corn chips or crackers. 3. *Note- I started out adding different amounts of each ingredient to the mixture between microwaving- add each ingredient to your own individual taste! |
