Toss carrots and orange juice with honey and walnuts to savor california crops. This recipe comes from our local Save Mart Supermarket. Ingredients:
1 lb baby carrots |
1/2 cup orange juice |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 tablespoon water |
1/3 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Place carrots in saucepan with small amount of water, cook until just tender crisp, (I like to steam them). 2. Drain. 3. Stir in orange juice,butter, honey, and cornstarch mixed with the water. 4. heat stirring, until thickened, Sprinkle with walnuts, Serve. |
