I was making calzones for a client this morning and had some extra dough. My husband had not had breakfast yet so I decided to try something new! I was nervous about cracking a raw egg on the pizza but it sat in it's little nook perfectly and baked sunny side up perfectly as well! Read more ! This is not limited to brunch only - have it for lunch or dinner too with a simple salad :-) Ingredients:
half a recipe of wolfgang pucks pizza dough |

garlic butter, for brushing |
toppings |
combination of mozzarella and sharp white cheddar, grated |
smoked ham, cut into strips |
mushrooms, thinly sliced |
green onion or chives, thinly sliced |
parsley (fresh or dried), minced or crumbled |
cage free organic eggs (i used one in the center) |
pink salt and fresh ground black pepper, to season top of egg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. 2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the dough to an 8-inch round. Place the dough on a round pizza pan lined with parchment. 3. Lightly brush the surface of the dough with melted garlic butter. Add all topping except the egg. from the center, push aside some of the cheese and topping, enough so that the egg has a place to sit . Crack egg into center of pizza and bake until crust golden brown (about 8 minutes in my oven) |
