Ingredients:
2-2 1.2 pound(s) baby back ribs or country style |
2 - 28 ounce(s) cans crushed tomatoes |
2 tablespoon(s) chopped fresh basil or 2 tsp. dried |
1/4 cup(s) chopped fresh parsley |
3 cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 large red onion chopped |
salt and pepper to taste |
2 tablespoon(s) tomato paste |
Directions:
1. Cut spareribs between the bones into two or three places. Put in slow cooker. Add onion garlic, tomatoes, parsley and basil. 2. Cover slow cooker turn heat to low and cook for 20 hours. Pork 3. should be falling off the bone. Remove pork from sauce and allow to cool. Stir tomato paste into sauce, cover and cook 30 minutes. 4. Remove meat from bones, discard bones. Return meat to sauce. Serve over pasta. Meatballs and/or sausage can also be added |
