I was looking for a recipe for sun-dried tomatoes and came across this one-sounded good & would save money to make homemade ones! :) They can be used in a lot of recipes! Ingredients:
4 lbs. tomatoes |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. 2. Wash and halve tomatoes. 3. Gently squeeze out the seeds. 4. Place the tomatoes on a non-stick cookie sheet, and sprinkle with salt to taste. 5. Bake until tomatoes take on a leathery texture. 6. This could literally take all day; smaller pieces will require less oven time. |
