This is just my version of the spread. Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed |
1/4 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup lime juice |
1/4 cup tahini |
1/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons garlic, minced |
1/3 cup sun-dried tomato packed in oil |
2 teaspoons cumin |
1 teaspoon white pepper |
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor. NOTE: I like to put the olive oil, lime juice, tahini and water in a one-cup measuring cup, in the order listed here. Then the tahini slips easily out of the cup - no separate measuring needed, no scraping sticky tahini needed. 2. Blend ingredients to desired smoothness. 3. Refrigerate first, if desired. Serve on toast or pita bread. |
