SUN DRIED TOMATO AND HAVARTI BREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Larkin Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1991.
Ingredients:
1 pound loaf french bread
1 cup shredded havarti cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sun dried tomatoes chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 small white onion cup finely chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 then cut bread loaf horizontally into 3 layers.
2. Mix remaining ingredients then spread half of the cheese mixture over bottom layer.
3. Top with second layer then spread with remaining cheese mixture.
4. Top with third layer and press firmly then wrap loaf securely in heavy duty foil.
5. Bake 20 minutes.
