These are very tasty. Great with a good chowder and good all year long. Hope you enjoy as much as we do. Ingredients:
2 cups self rising flour |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon paprika plus extra for sprinkling |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons margarine chopped |
1 tablespoon snipped fresh basil |
1/3 cup drained sun dried tomatoes in oil chopped |
2 ounces black forest ham finely chopped |
1/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 then flour a large baking sheet. 2. Sift flour, mustard, paprika and salt into a bowl. 3. Using your fingers rub in margarine until mixture resembles bread crumbs. 4. Stir basil, tomatoes and ham into then bowl then pour in enough milk to make soft dough. 5. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface then knead lightly and roll out rectangle. 6. Cut into 2” squares and arrange on floured baking sheet. 7. Brush tops with milk then sprinkle with paprika and bake 15 minutes then cool on rack. |
