This is a crepe recipe I tried out yesterday for a snack. It was my first time making them, and it was sort of tricky, because I don't have a crepemaker. It would be a lot easier if you use one- I used a large skillet, and the hardest part for me was trying to pick them up with the spatula. Read more . I spread them with peanut butter and Jet-Puffed marshmallow creme, and they were sooooo RICH and YUMMY. Try it out- I got this recipe from my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. Ingredients:
2 beaten eggs |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 tbsp. cooking oil |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 tsp. salt or, for sweeter crepes, 2 tbsp. sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine all of the ingredients and beat until well mixed. 2. Heat a lightly greased skillet; remove from heat. Spoon in 2 tbsp. batter (I used 4 tbsp., b/c I couldn't get it to cover the bottom of the skillet with only 2). Return to heat; brown on 1 side only. 3. Continue making the crepes until the batter is used up. Invert over paper towels. 4. Top with your choice of spreads or fillings and enjoy! |
