These small bites are delicious! They can get you out of a pinch since they can be frozen, uncooked for up to 1 month.I found this on BBC GoodFood. Ingredients:
2 large skinless chicken breasts |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
crushed red pepper flakes (optional) |
3 slices streaky bacon, thinly sliced |
4 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped |
handful basil leaves, chopped |
17 1/3 ounces puff pastry (1 sheet) |
flour, for dusting |
1 egg yolk, beaten |
7/8 ounce sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Whizz the chicken and garlic in a processor until the chicken is minced. 2. Tip in the bacon, sundried tomatoes and basil.and crushed red pepper flakes 3. Pulse for 5 secs to just mix through & season well. 4. Roll the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut in half lengthways. 5. Spread half the chicken mixture along the middle of one of the pastry strips, then roll up the pastry, pinching the ends together to seal. 6. Using a sharp knife, cut into 1 long pieces. 7. Repeat with the remaining pastry strip. 8. Heat oven to 392ºF. 9. Place the rolls on a large baking sheet. 10. Brush with the egg, then sprinkle with seeds. 11. Bake for 20 mins until golden. |
